Our vision has been to gather the greatest collection of individual sales talent into a National Sales Team and align ourselves with manufacturers and publishers who produce the highest quality products. Our unique model closely emulates an in-house national sales force, with the inherent advantages of a truly coordinated selling efforta unified and timely message to retailers without the usual regional bias.
SMP's team is made up of 12 partners who have held management positions within well-respected video game and software publishing, retailing and manufacturing companies. This experience gives our clients the following distinct advantages when approaching the retail marketplace:
- Retailer mindshare and call frequency translate directly into increased
sales opportunities.
- By putting together comprehensive national product launch and marketing plans, we leverage current street-level data about all accounts, not just a few data points from fragmented regional territories.
- Each of SMP's clients is assigned a point person, an advisor and mentor, in order to have an immediate on-call liaison to assist the VP of sales. We aggregate forecasts, sell- through data, co-op analysis, and product beta feedback on a regular basis.
- SMP utilizes EDI services as well as our own network with servers based in
Dallas, Texas.
